Indonesia is known to produce the highest volume and quality of powerful kratom. Effects of Various Kratom Strains

Different effects are reported from different varieties of kratom. Indonesia is popular for its’ “Indo” blends and makes it one of the more desired strains for things such as:

Kratom is commonly used to reduce pain and is said to bind to opiod receptors in the brain. It is an opioid agonist. The main difference is that the Mitragynine prefers the delta opioid receptors while traditional opiates bind to mu opioid receptors. At higher dosage levels the Mitragynine is known to also affect the mu opioid receptors. A common strain for pain is the red veined kratom varieties such as Borneo.

Anxiety issues are often resolved with powerful kratom strains such as Borneo or Bali. Causing sedative effects and general feelings of ease and relaxation, users often report a general sense of well being. If energy is needed, people will tend to reach for white veined blends and varieties. Clarity of mind and attentiveness are often the result of this more energizing kratom flavor. Lifting of the mood is a result of a high amount of 7-hydroxymitragynine entering the system.

Alkaloid content is what really determines the effects of these herbal products. There have been limited studies but the alkaloids have been analyzed and we do have a much better understanding of the internal stucture of these kratom varieties. In Indo kratom, for example, we know that there is a large amount of 7-OH-mitragynine compared to other strains. It has also been shown to contain less mitragynine (the reason for stimulating effects).

Popular Indo Kratom Strains

There are a variety of indo kratom strains seemingly becoming more and more popular. Buying kratom like red vein indo is known as an evening kratom because it can cause algesic and sedative effects. The opposite of an energy booster, red vein is called for when the user needs to relax and wind down. Super indo strains are commonly purchased because of the potency contained within. Known to contain similar pain killing and relaxing qualities as a red vein strain, it is reported to also produce a feeling of balanced energy and focus. When a burst of energy is called for, people tend to go with a white vein indo as it is reported to be the most stimulating of all Indo varieties.
